To ensure the maximum reliability of your system your Skotch valve systems should be checked periodically as recommended by NFPA codes to insure tight shutoff of flammable liquids andgases eliminating possibility for hazardous conditions.  ITT recommends soft seals be replaced on all valves older than 10 years.
